2021 Summer Camp

We held a free week-long online VEX IQ Summer Camp from August 16-20 for any student entering 4th-6th grade in the fall. This course covered the basics of VEX IQ Robotics: the engineering design process, building, and programming. Since this class was remote, the students also learned about CAD and how to use it to their advantage when designing their robot.

Each day of camp was two hours long from 10 am - 12 pm PST.

We are looking forward to hosting a winter workshop camp!

• I enjoyed learn about both the engineering and programing parts of VEX IQ! ... I've been to a lot of camps where they just stuck to the lessons and didn't include fun activities for us. I'm happy that I joined the camp because I really learned a lot while having a good time. I really think that all the things that I learned in this camp will definitely come in handy in the future. You guys were all so nice and I think you should continue holding camps like this! Thank you so much!

• I really enjoyed building with SnapCAD, and I also liked learning about the different kinds of sensors using VEX IQ.

• My favorite activity was build the robot chassis and arm in snap CAD. I love 3D building and modeling.

• This is one of the most interesting classes that I have joined. I don't think that you need to change much, just that it would have been more fun if it was in person, and we get to build the robot with tools. I really enjoyed how you manage the classes. Can't wait to join more!
