VEX IQ Competition

Pitching In is played on a 6 ft by 8 ft field. In Pitching In, an alliances of two teams play together. The objective of the game is to obtain as many points by scoring balls in goals, clearing the corrals, and hanging on platforms. To score points on a goal, the ball must either be in the low or high goal. Points can be scored by removing balls from the starting corrals as well. Also, hanging robots on the bars can get a team extra points.

Each match is 1 minute of driver control.

Teams also compete in Robot Skills, where they score as many points as possible by themselves in one minute matches. Robot skills consist of driver control and autonomous matches.

Scoring:

• Each ball scored inside the low goal = 2 points

• Each ball scored inside the high goal = 6 points

• Each cleared corral = 5 points

• Each low hanging robot = 6 points

• Each high hanging robot = 10 points
